SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 08 (APP): Sheikhupura district is undergoing a major transformation under the “Suthra Punjab” cleanliness campaign with a focus on making villages and towns cleaner and more attractive.
According To DC Office, Following the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, officers from the Assistant Commissioner’s office, local government, district council,l and municipal committees are fully mobilized across the district.
Teams are working to ensure cleanliness in cities, towns and villages with a focus on roads, streets and public spaces.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waqar Ali Khan emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating that officers have been instructed to expedite sanitation efforts and address public complaints.
He noted a significant improvement in the cleanliness of the countryside with parks, green belts and intersections looking lush and green.
Municipal committee staff are also actively cleaning sewage lines, water disposals and covering drains.
DC reiterated the district administration’s commitment to providing a clean and healthy environment for the people of Sheikhupura through the Sathra Punjab program.
