PSX continues with bullish trend, gains 103 points


ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP): The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued with bullish trend on Friday and gained 103.46 points, a positive change of 0.23 percent, closing at 45,753.52 points against 45,650.06 points the previous trading day.

A total of 222,531,077 shares valuing Rs 11.056 billion were traded during the day as compared to 138,172,896 shares valuing Rs.2.778 billion on the last trading day.

As many as 319 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 176 of them recorded gains and 109 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 34 companies remained unchanged.

The three top-trading companies were MCB Bank Ltd with 27,208,683 shares at Rs 125.70 per share; Maple Leaf with 24,656,852 shares at Rs 29.42 per share and Nishat ChunPow with 13,979,000 shares at Rs 18.82 per share.

Pak Services witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 49.98 per share price, closing at Rs 719.98, whereas the runner-up was Mehmood Textile with Rs.40.50 rise in its per share price to Rs 580.50.

Bata (Pak) witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs.37.98 per share closing at Rs 1,662.02, followed by Lucky Core Ind. with Rs.22.41 decline to close at Rs.602.80.
